Okay so funny story (not really), me and my friend josh are really into starwars so i wanted to play a game with him that was starwars'esque, but his comp is from the 90's so the most he can do is play really old CIV. and go on gmail.
So i got the bright idea to start a DND campaign, but it wouldnt be fun as just me and him so i ask Wyman and brad if they wanna play, and wyman says "ha lol i'll only play if i can use my level 80 paladin" or some shit like that. I then explain to him that i found a sci-fi Rpg called "Stars without number" he liked the idea but said "thats not that many people, who is going to DM?". I told him that i wanted to DM but he said something like "i dont think you'd be good DM because you are kind of goofball and i dont think the game would be fun" or something along those lines. well he's not wrong but i really wanna play this game so i tell him i have a friend named Jared Clarkson who is really good at DM'ing DnD games and wyman said "oh cool sure but we should do this over skype so it goes faster". This was a problem because Jared Clarckson isnt a real person(i know there is probably some one out there named Jared Clarckson but i dont know anyone by that name). so i tell him that he has a really high pitched voice so he is self conscious about doing skype calls with strangers. Wyman agrees with doing the game on Gmail and for jared to be the DM. so for about a month we get our character sheets done, then brad says that he cant play until he gets his new computer because for some reason gmail wont open on his phone. We postpone the game for another week and then wyman emails Jared(an email i made [email protected]) and says that we should just start the game without brad and him and just tell it from my, and joshes point of view. so we start the game and everyones having fun, then after 3 months of playing summer comes up and i'm not able to get on a computer so i stop posting on the DnD chain and since i was Jared the game ends. throughout this whole thing wyman, brad, and josh never suspected that jared was me and i was pretty amazed at that. i know you must be thinking "hey you were a DM and a PC isnt that really OP?" my answer is no because my plan was to kill off my first 5 characters and then let the rest be random, but we never got to that point. im writing this because a couple days ago i told wyman and he said that i should post it on this sites blog. sorry for my syntax im not very good at writing pages of text like this. if you want me to post any of the campaign i have most of it still saved on Gmail.
